The debit card provided by NAB may be too costly for those that just want the basics. To get everything, you’ll need to upgrade to their best plan. But, their best plan is a bit expensive for a debit card. In the end, this is a card for someone who expects to get a good bit of use out of their card.

Let’s start with the basics. If you already have an account with NAB, it will be ridiculously easy for you to add a debit card onto your account. Even if you don’t, it will still be as easy as any other signup. No credit checks. No rejections.

There are a few nice features for this debit card. There is complete tracking of all your purchases to ensure the highest security and the easiest accounting. Anytime you pay by hitting the credit button, they will keep track of the transaction to ensure that all goes well.

This card is able to be used at any location that accepts Visa. So you’ll have the standard benefits of a debit card. If you decide to signup for their gold plan though, you will have the benefit of unlimited free transactions at any ATM worldwide. That’s pretty nice. The gold plan is pricey for a debit card though, at $12 a month.

The last feature is really only going to be handy for someone who is going to use it as their main form of payment. If you are going to deposit a significant sum of money onto the card each month, you will have a debit card without any monthly fees. Depositing $5,000 a month onto the bank account will cancel out the $12 fee of the gold plan, with lesser amounts canceling out the cheaper plans. If you expect to deposit your wages into the account and use the card a lot, this could be a nice option.

So, this is a card for the person who is serious about their spending. The fees are a bit high for what you’re getting, but if you’ll deposit a good bit each month, it can be an effectively free option for you. It’s at least worth a look.
